Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Pick Your Path Stories (PYPStories.com)

This policy describes what Pick Your Path Stories (“PYPStories,” “we”) collects when you read or create branching stories on pypstories.com, and the choices you have.

Account, email, and purchases

• If you create an account, we store your email address, a username if you set one, and a password hash. We do not store your password itself.
• We store the stories you create, the stories you buy or save, ratings, comments, and in-site notices tied to your account.
• Purchase records include what you bought, the amount, and the payment reference from our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

Cookies and sessions

When you log in, we set a session cookie so the site can remember that browser. The cookie is used to keep you signed in and to protect actions such as checkout. You can clear it by logging out or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Stripe

Payments and creator payouts are processed by Stripe. When you buy credits, buy a story, or connect a creator account, Stripe receives the payment details needed to complete that charge or payout. Stripe’s own privacy policy describes how they handle that information.

Google AdSense and advertising cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads on some reading pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to PYPStories and other sites.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at https://adssettings.google.com and at https://www.aboutads.info.

Data deletion

You may ask us to delete your account and the personal information tied to it. Use the contact form while logged in and tell us you want the account deleted. We will delete the account data we are not required to keep for purchases, fraud prevention, or legal claims. Stories you published may stay up if other readers bought them, with your username removed or replaced when we can do that without breaking those purchases.

Contact

Questions about this policy: use the contact page. Log in first if you have a PYPStories account so we can reply with an in-site notice.
